As Assistant Commissioner of the Business Development, LaGrange is responsible for promoting Tennessee as a destination for business investment. The division focuses on identifying and pursuing companies in select key industries that may not currently operate in the state or that may have an interest in either relocating or expanding their operations.

As Administrator of Business Development for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Brock is responsible for assisting the Assistant Commissioner of Business Development with the recruitment, expansion and small business programs for ECD. Brock has been with ECD for eight years and has acted as lead project manager on a number of significant projects such as Federated Department Stores' 600,000 square foot distribution center in Robertson County, the relocation of Oreck Vacuums to Cookeville, Verizon Wireless regional headquarters in Cool Springs, and the recently announced Hemlock Semiconductor plant in Clarksville.
